I believe in being completely transparent with this site. I do not want you to feel deceived within this site. Therefore, I am going to be completely open about the income sources for this website.
Before I go into the details, I ought to say that this income goes towards offsetting the costs of running this website – hosting, domain name renewals and other costs associated with running, administering and improving the site. The site was not set up with the sole intention of generating income. It is primarily a source of useful information, and will continue to be operated in such a manner. However, we have to keep the power on somehow!
There are currently 2 methods of income for this site. Adverts and Affiliate links.
Within each page, you may see adverts at the side of each page. Currently these are provided through the Google AdSense program. I receive a small payment for each click-through from the site.
Throughout the articles on the site, there may be links through to products. Some of them may go through an affiliate link. If you follow the affiliate link through to the shop recommended and make a purchase, I receive a small commission. These links do not cost you anything extra.
In most instances the affiliate links are marked up as such, in order to be transparent, with an asterix, like so*.
No affiliate links are put into articles with the sole intention of generating income. They are carefully selected to be of use to you in the context of the article, and where possible they are only for products that I have tried myself, or have had good reviews from other people on.
If you do not wish to use my affiliate links, then I still recommend the products linked to, so just open up a new window and Google the product.
